Lady Cavaliers go 17-8 over summer

Lady Cavalier basketball coach Rusty Ward reports that his team's summer activities were very busy with competition in four separate camps.

The girls from Calvary compiled an impressive 17-8 record as a squad through the summer with big wins coming over such teams as Northwood, Bossier, Benton, Airline, Parkway and Pineville.

"The girls worked really hard this summer in Matt Merry's summer workout program and we are looking forward to the 2009-2010 season," Coach Ward said.

"We have a really tough schedule leading up to district this coming season," Ward said.

The Lady Cavaliers have only two more open slots on their schedule left to fill, according to Ward.

Ward revealed that the Lady Cavs will be playing in four tournaments when the season starts. They will compete in tourneys at Northwood, Ruston, Doc Edwards and host their own tournament in the Calvary gym.

The regular season will see the Lady Cavs going up against such teams as Byrd, Minden, Loyola and Haughton.
