Cross country runs second, third places

Calvary's girls' cross country team placed second in competition at Cedar Creek in Ruston Saturday, while the guys from CBA finished third.

The Cavalier runners overcame a week of sickness among many of the runners to turn in some quality performances, according to coaches Linzie and Jeremy Hebert.

Again this week, Ruston came out on top in both divisions of the cross country competition.

Ashlen Grantham, a sixth grader, broke the school's 3-mile record with a 21:18 showing on a tough, hilly Cedar Creek course.
